Famous Australian Icon Steve Irwin has passed away from a critical barb sting from a sting ray to his chest. Ironically, it was during the filming of 'Oceans Deadliest' for Animal Planet that this tragedy occurred. He leaves behind two young children, and a wife - not to mention the legion of fans who can only watch in awe from afar at his courage to do with particularly dangerous animals, namely crocodiles. He achieved stardom through the series The Crocodile Hunter where his inherent joy in tackling and feeding crocodiles created not only a frenzy of disbelief, but controversy when he carried his baby son during crocodile feedings. He is well known for his active stance in the conservation of all animals, especially endangered ones.As his best mate said: "He died doing what he loved best, he died a happy man."

i screamed at my dad upon hearing the sad news. all he said was "he quite young you know?". the saddest part(at least for me) was the first picture i took was a crocodile, and the 3 girls sat on the Australian Outback vehicle, posing as if we're in aussie's jungle. at the moment, i swear i thought of him. Rest In Peace, Steve.
